Arrest made in Maurice Goins Homicide

On Tuesday, June 19^th, 2018 Lakewood Police Detectives arrested Charles A. Muscatello in connection with the 2017 homicide of Maurice K. Goins.  Mr. Goins was found deceased in his  11824 Madison Avenue apartment on August 6, 2017.  The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s office ruled the death to be a homicide and the case has been under investigation for the past 10 months.

Through the course of the investigation evidence was obtained linking Muscatello to the crime.  Based upon these findings detectives obtained a warrant for Muscatello on June 18^th, 2018 charging him with murder.  He was subsequently located and arrested on the warrant the following day. Muscatello will have his initial appearance in Lakewood Municipal Court.
