Applicant, Gerald Weber, Weber Architecture proposes the installation of a fence along the eastern side property line behind the building line. Allowable height of fence is a maximum of 72 inches. Proposed fence is brick masonry with a decorative screen on top which exceeds the maximum height along the southeast portion of the property. Property is located in the R1M, Residential, Single-Family Low-Density district.
Variance 1: Request a variance to exceed the 72-inch maximum allowable height of a fence as proposed in the plans drafted by Weber Architecture and dated 11-23-21. Three piers exceed the allowable height by 24 inches each, the 5 piers topped with 22-inch light fixtures exceed the allowable height by 46 inches and for a combined length of 47 feet along the southeast portion a decorative screen tops the fence and exceeds the maximum allowable height by 24 inches. Applicant, Jill Brandt of Brandt Architects for property owner Kelly Ahmed, proposes several additions to the rear of the primary structure, a family room, screened porch and attached garage. The minimum required side yard setback is ten feet.
