The parks in Lakewood provide intrinsic environmental, aesthetic, and recreation benefits to our community. They are also a source of positive economic benefits. They enhance property values, bring in homebuyers and workers, and attract retirees. Our parks are a worthy financial investment for our city. And, we are continuing to make those important investments.

The next projects lined up are Cove Park and Wagar Park.

The city is currently seeking input from residents about desired improvements to these important public spaces at two upcoming meetings.

• The Cove Park meeting is slated to take place in the auditorium at Lakewood City Hall at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2.
• The Wagar Park meeting is slated to take place at the Grace Presbyterian Church (1659 Rosewood Avenue) at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3.
