With the Doc of Rock n Roll, Dr. Joel Keller

The folk music revival of the 60’s and 70’s embodied the changes taking place in American society at the time: socially, politically and musically. This music was shaped by historical events such as the civil rights era and the Vietnam War. It in turn, shaped each of our lives on a personal level.
We will look at the early roots of folk and then feature short bios of selected artists: Bob Dylan, Woodie Guthrie, Peter, Paul and Mary, Judy Collins, Joan Baez, Simon and Garfunkel among others. Featuring rarely seen audio and video recordings
