Please join us on September 25, 2019, in the Lakewood City Hall East Conference room (next to Auditorium) at 7:00 pm to meet with staff from the City’s Planning Department to discuss financial assistance available to Lakewood rental property owners.
We will highlight the new Rental Restoration Loan Program, which provides Lakewood landlords an affordable financing option to make improvements to rental units rented to low- and moderate-income families. The program provides up to $14,000 per unit at 0% interest, with 70% forgiven after five years if federal affordability requirements are met. The maximum loan is $50,000. Eligible repairs include kitchen & bath updates, energy efficiency, and accessibility improvements.
In addition to information about the Rental Restoration Program, we also want to hear from you about opportunities and challenges you are seeing in the Lakewood market. The City of Lakewood wants to ensure that affordable units remain available to current and future renters. We’re interested in hearing from you on how best to help landlords accomplish goals of investing in Lakewood’s housing stock and preserving affordability.
Please RSVP to Mary E. Leigh, Programs Manager, 216-529-7681 or Mary.Leigh@lakewoodoh.net
