Newly Reconstructed Foster Pool At Lakewood Park Is Now Open

The newly reconstructed Foster Pool at Lakewood Park opened today at 12:00 PM.  After Mayor George, Council President Litten, Councilmember Marx, Councilmember Shachner, School Board President Callahan, and School Board Member Barcelona cut the ribbon, swimmers jumped into the pool and had a blast.

The rebuilt Foster Pool achieves numerous community priorities: improved accessibility; a new competition and recreation pool; a new water play amenities area; a new splash pad (a first for Lakewood and free to the public); and other general renovations Foster Pool can now better serve the needs of its many users – everything from providing relaxation for families and welcoming those just learning to swim to also offering a top-notch facility for serious athletes and active adults as they make Lakewood their home for life.
