Kids Cove Playground Redesign Unveiling Set for March 16
March 08, 2016After months of collecting resident feedback and discussing possible plans, the city of Lakewood is unveiling plans for the overhaul of the Kids Cove playground at Lakewood Park.
The city of Lakewood is actively planning the redesign and reconstruction of Kids Cove. The goal is to begin construction of Kids Cove in the fall of 2016.
The city is hosting a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 16 to review the conceptual site plan and preliminary playground equipment selections.
City officials relied heavily on input from residents to begin the process.
“Kids Cove has been a vital piece of our community and we want to ensure future upgrades meet the needs and desires of parents and children alike,” said city planner Jason Russell. “Our diverse pool of thoughtful, intelligent and creative residents helped to influence how current and future Lakewood children will enjoy Kids Cove.”
All are welcome and encouraged to attend the March 16 meeting.
“We truly want this project to reflect what our community wants as a premier playground,” added Russell.
