Lakewood Named ‘Great Place to Call Home’ by Business View Magazine
July 17, 2015The city of Lakewood can add another feather to its cap. Business View Magazine recently named Lakewood “A Great Place to Call Home.”
The publication noted that Lakewood is “recognized regionally for its tree-lined streets, excellent school system and outstanding municipal services,” in addition to being home to more than 1,000 businesses of myriad types and sizes.

The article also pointed out several projects in Lakewood, including the Solstice Steps at Lakewood Park, and pointed a “youthful infusion” that has “hastened the return of vibrancy” to the community, “signaled by a resurgent housing environment in which available homes are being snapped after only a few days on the market.”
“We are thrilled that Lakewood has again received some national attention,” stated Mayor Mike Summers. “This article affirms why so many people choose to call Lakewood home. Those who already live here know how great Lakewood is, but it’s nice to receive the recognition from others in our region and across the country.”
In November, Ohio Magazine named Lakewood “One of Ohio’s Best Home Towns.” Lakewood has also received local and national recognition: Scene Magazine named Lakewood “Best Suburb” for four years in a row; Business Week named Lakewood the “Best Place to Raise Your Kids in Ohio” and Travel and Leisure bestowed Lakewood with the designation of “Coolest Suburb Worth a Visit.”
