The Master Plan for Lakewood Park contemplates additional amenities that will improve waterfront access to Lake Erie. As such, the City of Lakewood, with assistance from the State of Ohio Department of Natural Resources through their Coastal Management Assistance Grant program, has initiated a study to examine potential projects that would improve waterfront access.

Community Update 2/28/24

On Tuesday, February 27, 2024, SmithGroup presented its final renderings of the Lakewood Park Waterfront Access Plan to the public for review. The open house meeting was attended by around 40 members of the community, and attendees had the opportunity to view the plans up-close, talk to the design team, and provide their comments on the proposed new amenities.

Community Update 2/15/24

The SmithGroup will be presenting final renderings to the public for review. There will be an open house style session starting at 6:00p.m. and a presentation starting at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will take place in the Auditorium at Lakewood City Hall, 12650 Detroit Avenue.

Public Meeting #2 – We need your input!

Join us on June 27, 2023, from 3pm – 7pm for a public input meeting at the Lakewood Park Woman’s Pavilion.

Come have one-on-one conversations with the Consultant Team and City Staff at this open-house-style meeting, review the results of the online survey and Public Meeting #1, and give feedback on the preliminary conceptual designs for the lakefront.
