Lakewood Police Officers to Receive Medal of Honor

Lakewood Police Officers Ron Bunner and Jakub Mejstrik will
both be receiving the Medal of Honor this evening at the Lakewood City Council Meeting
in the Lakewood City Hall Auditorium (12650 Detroit Ave.) at 7:30 pm.

The Medal of Honor is being awarded to them for assisting a male in crisis on the roof of the Berkshire Condominiums on July 12^th, 2019.   After spending over
40 minutes with the individual, they were able to successfully remedy the situation and get him to the appropriate treatment resources.

A video of the incident shot from their body-worn cameras featuring their heroic work will be presented at the City Council meeting.  Click here to watch the video.
