The City of Lakewood launched a redesigned website that provides residents, businesses, and visitors with a more accessible, secure, and user-friendly online experience. The new website features updated technology that improves performance, enhances security, and provides greater flexibility for future improvements. The redesign also advances the City’s commitment to digital accessibility and prepares the website to meet updated accessibility requirements that will take effect in April 2027.
“We are committed to making it easier for residents to access information and services,” said Mayor Meghan F. George. “This new website reflects our ongoing investment in customer service, transparency, and accessibility. Whether someone is paying a bill, looking for city services, or learning about community events, they can now find what they need more quickly and easily.”
New website features and updates include:
- A new “mega menu” that presents a broader range of navigation options and helps users reach their destination in fewer clicks;
- Popular and Featured Links sections on department and division pages, highlighting frequently visited content based on historical website traffic;
- Enhanced site organization, including improved page structure and breadcrumb navigation to help users understand where they are within the site and move easily between pages;
- Improved accessibility for visitors who rely on assistive technology to obtain information; and
- Overall improvements to software, security, and design.
