Lakewood hosts one of the best and most beloved Fourth of July celebrations in the greater Cleveland area, drawing residents and visitors for a full day of community pride, entertainment, and classic holiday traditions.
The festivities begin at 10:00 AM with the city’s popular Fourth of July Parade, which marches down Lake Avenue with a lively mix of community groups, local organizations, and patriotic displays. Families line the street early to get a good spot, making it one of the most anticipated parades in the region.
In the evening, Lakewood Park becomes the centerpiece of the celebration. At 7:00 PM, the Lakewood Project, Lakewood High School’s acclaimed rock orchestra, takes the stage at the historic Lakewood Park Bandstand.Â
The day concludes with a spectacular fireworks show at 9:45 PM over Lakewood Park. Set against Lake Erie’s shoreline, the display lights up the sky and provides the perfect finale to a full day of celebration.
