Overview

Lakewood offers a wide range of opportunities for fun, exercise, and competition thanks to the work and expertise of many partnering organizations. Our robust network of parks features two public swimming pools, baseball/softball fields, soccer fields, walking paths, tennis courts, and much more.

Swimming Pools

Lakewood’s two outdoor public pools, Becks Pool and Foster Pool, are owned by the City of Lakewood and operated by the Lakewood Recreation Department, which is a division of the Lakewood City School District. Find more information on aquatics programming by visiting the Lakewood Recreation site.

Parks

Youth Sports

Adult Sports

The Lakewood Recreation Department offers adult leagues for Basketball, Kickball, and Softball. Interested parties can sign up individually or register an entire team. Explore the leagues by clicking below.

Winterhurst Ice Arena

Winterhurst Ice Arena is Lakewood’s ice skating and hockey facility. The arena is owned by the City of Lakewood and operated by Lakewood City Ice. Learn about open skating sessions, figure skating, and hockey by visiting the Winterhurst website below.

Cycling

Lakewood is a small, dense city that is great for cycling for bike commuters and sports cyclists alike. Our network of streets features 15.75 miles of dedicated bike lanes, and the city is conveniently located to provide easy access to the Cleveland Metroparks and the Cleveland Lakefront Bikeway.
